Job Description

Career.zycto is seeking a dedicated Part-Time Occupational Therapist Assistant to join our growing rehabilitation team in Lighthouse Lakes, Selbyville. Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Occupational Therapists to implement individualized treatment plans.
- Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, activities, and techniques to improve daily living skills, fine motor coordination, and range of motion.
- Educate patients and their families on home exercise programs, adaptive equipment, and compensatory strategies.
- Monitor and document patient progress, noting any changes in functional status or response to treatment.
- Prepare treatment areas and maintain clean, safe, and organized clinical environments.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of services provided in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
- Provide adaptive equipment recommendations and training to enhance patient independence.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to interdisciplinary care planning.
- Adhere to all facility policies, procedures, and professional ethical standards.
Required Skills
- Associate's Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapist Assistant (OTA) program.
- Current and unrestricted OTA license in the state of Delaware.
- Current CPR certification.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate patient-centered approach.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
- Proficiency in administering therapeutic modalities and exercises.
- Physical ability to perform duties, including lifting, transferring, and assisting patients.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ year of experience as an Occupational Therapist Assistant, preferably in a rehabilitation or outpatient setting.
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Familiarity with various adaptive equipment and assistive technologies.
- Specialized training or certifications in areas such as neurorehabilitation, geriatrics, or pediatrics.
