Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet guests, present menus, and assist with drink and food selections.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using a POS system and relay them to kitchen/bar staff.
- Serve food and beverages promptly and courteously to tables.
- Monitor tables during service to ensure guest satisfaction, refilling drinks and anticipating needs.
- Clear and reset tables efficiently, maintaining a clean dining area.
- Handle guest inquiries, resolve minor complaints, and communicate larger issues to management.
- Process payments accurately and efficiently.
- Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff, bartenders, and other servers to ensure smooth service.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Server or Waiter/Waitress in a fast-paced restaurant environment (minimum 6 months).
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented setting.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.
- Basic math skills for handling payments and making change.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge of various food and beverage types.
- Experience with point-of-sale (POS) systems (e.g., Lightspeed, Toast, Square POS).
- Certification in food handling or hospitality training.
