Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and adjust treatment processes, including pumps, valves, and chemical feeds, to ensure optimal performance and compliance with environmental regulations.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on plant equipment, machinery, and instrumentation, including lubrication, cleaning, and minor repairs.
- Conduct regular laboratory tests on wastewater samples, recording data accurately and interpreting results to guide operational adjustments.
- Inspect, clean, and maintain clarifiers, filters, basins, and other treatment units.
- Respond to alarms and emergency situations promptly, troubleshooting operational issues and implementing corrective actions.
- Maintain detailed operational logs, reports, and records in compliance with local, state, and federal guidelines.
- Adhere strictly to all safety policies and procedures, including Lockout/Tagout and confined space entry protocols.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure efficient plant operations and continuous improvement.
- Participate actively in ongoing training and professional development programs to achieve and maintain required certifications.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Ability to comprehend and follow complex verbal and written instructions.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Basic computer proficiency for data entry and monitoring systems.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing, and working in various weather conditions.
