Job Description
Are you a skilled Glazier with a passion for precision and a keen eye for detail? Career.zycto is seeking a dedicated and experienced Glazier to join our network of top-tier talent, working on exciting projects throughout Caversham, Reading, and the surrounding areas. This is an exceptional opportunity for a professional who thrives on transforming spaces with high-quality glass installations, contributing to both the aesthetic appeal and structural integrity of diverse buildings.
As a Glazier, you will be at the forefront of crafting and installing a wide range of glass products, from bespoke windows and doors to intricate shop fronts, shower enclosures, and conservatories. Your daily tasks will involve precise measurement, cutting, fitting, and sealing of glass panels, ensuring every installation meets the highest standards of safety, durability, and visual excellence. The role demands a strong understanding of different framing systems and materials, including UPVC, timber, and aluminium. You’ll be responsible for preparing frames, ensuring they are level and secure before fitting glass, and expertly applying sealants and beads for a watertight and aesthetically pleasing finish. Safety is paramount; you will consistently adhere to all health and safety regulations, using appropriate personal protective equipment and ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and others on site.
Collaboration is key. You will often work alongside other tradespeople, including carpenters, builders, and project managers, requiring excellent communication skills to coordinate tasks and resolve any on-site challenges efficiently.
