Career.zycto is actively seeking a dedicated Hotel Night Auditor to join a leading establishment in the heart of Brighton, England. This full-time, on-site position is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation and security of the hotel during overnight hours, providing a seamless experience for our valued guests and maintaining efficient administrative processes.

As a Night Auditor, you will be the face of the hotel during the quiet hours, responsible for a variety of tasks that ensure guests feel safe, comfortable, and well-served. You’ll handle late check-ins and early check-outs, address guest inquiries and requests, and manage any unexpected situations with professionalism and composure. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform end-of-day financial reconciliation, auditing daily transactions and preparing financial reports.
  • Handle guest check-ins and check-outs efficiently and courteously during night shifts.
  • Respond to guest inquiries, requests, and complaints promptly and professionally, ensuring guest satisfaction.
  • Maintain security and safety protocols during overnight hours, including regular property patrols.
  • Process all forms of payment, balance cash drawers, and manage hotel accounts.
  • Prepare breakfast arrangements and ensure public areas are tidy and ready for the morning shift.
  • Monitor and respond to alarm systems and emergency situations, liaising with management and emergency services as required.
  • Assist with reservations and future bookings, providing accurate information to guests.
  • Undertake general administrative duties and support other departments as needed.

Required Skills

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a hotel front desk or night auditor role.
  • Proficiency with Property Management Systems (PMS) such as Opera, Fidelio, or similar.
  • Exceptional numerical and analytical skills for accurate auditing and reporting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused approach.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Office Suite).

Preferred Qualifications

  • A hospitality-related qualification or certification.
  • Experience with basic accounting principles.
  • Knowledge of local Brighton attractions and services.
  • First Aid and basic fire safety training.
  • Additional language skills are a plus.
