Career.zycto is actively seeking a dedicated Hotel Night Auditor to join a leading establishment in the heart of Brighton, England. As a Night Auditor, you will be the face of the hotel during the quiet hours, responsible for a variety of tasks that ensure guests feel safe, comfortable, and well-served. Key Responsibilities
- Perform end-of-day financial reconciliation, auditing daily transactions and preparing financial reports.
- Handle guest check-ins and check-outs efficiently and courteously during night shifts.
- Respond to guest inquiries, requests, and complaints promptly and professionally, ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Maintain security and safety protocols during overnight hours, including regular property patrols.
- Process all forms of payment, balance cash drawers, and manage hotel accounts.
- Prepare breakfast arrangements and ensure public areas are tidy and ready for the morning shift.
- Monitor and respond to alarm systems and emergency situations, liaising with management and emergency services as required.
- Assist with reservations and future bookings, providing accurate information to guests.
- Undertake general administrative duties and support other departments as needed.
Required Skills
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a hotel front desk or night auditor role.
- Proficiency with Property Management Systems (PMS) such as Opera, Fidelio, or similar.
- Exceptional numerical and analytical skills for accurate auditing and reporting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused approach.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Office Suite).
Preferred Qualifications
- A hospitality-related qualification or certification.
- Experience with basic accounting principles.
- Knowledge of local Brighton attractions and services.
