Key Responsibilities
- Assist the truck driver with safe and efficient loading and unloading of various goods.
- Verify cargo against delivery manifests to ensure accuracy and report discrepancies.
- Secure items properly within the truck to prevent damage during transit.
- Help navigate routes, utilize GPS, and communicate effectively with the driver and dispatch.
- Interact professionally with customers upon delivery, obtaining signatures and confirming receipt.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the truck interior and cargo area.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety regulations and traffic laws.
- Assist with pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
Required Skills
- Valid Ontario G2 or G Driver's License with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) regularly.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong sense of reliability, punctuality, and responsibility.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Basic knowledge of Toronto area geography or willingness to learn quickly.
Preferred Qualifications
