Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of designated areas, both internal and external, to ensure security and detect any irregularities.
- Monitor CCTV systems and alarms, responding promptly and effectively to all alerts.
- Control access to premises, verifying credentials for all personnel and visitors.
- Respond to incidents such as disturbances, medical emergencies, or security breaches in accordance with established procedures.
- Complete detailed incident reports and daily activity logs accurately and thoroughly.
- Liaise effectively with emergency services, site management, and colleagues during incidents or routine operations.
- Enforce site rules and regulations, ensuring compliance and maintaining a safe environment for all occupants.
- Assist with building evacuations and other emergency procedures as required.
Required Skills
- Valid SIA (Security Industry Authority) Door Supervisor or Security Guarding Licence.
- Proven experience in a security role, preferably within a public sector or similar high-footfall environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of interacting professionally with diverse groups.
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and respond calmly to emergency situations.
- Basic IT proficiency for report writing and system monitoring.
- A full UK driving licence (desirable, but not always essential depending on specific site requirements).
