Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a company-provided motorcycle to deliver various goods to designated locations within Guildwood and the Greater Toronto Area.
- Adhere strictly to all provincial traffic laws, company safety policies, and road regulations at all times.
- Verify the accuracy of delivery items against manifest sheets and ensure packages are in good condition.
- Provide exceptional customer service during pickups and deliveries, maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, records, and manifest updates using company systems or tools.
- Assist with the efficient loading and unloading of items onto and from the motorcycle.
- Perform routine pre-trip and post-trip inspections and basic maintenance checks on the motorcycle to ensure operational readiness and safety.
- Communicate effectively and promptly with dispatch, customers, and team members regarding delivery status, delays, or issues.
- Manage delivery routes efficiently to ensure timely and effective service.
Required Skills
- Valid Class M motorcycle license (or equivalent for Ontario) with a clean driving record.
- Proficiency in reading maps and utilizing GPS navigation systems effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for positive customer interactions.
- Physical ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 lbs and perform duties requiring bending, lifting, and standing.
- Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and a strong sense of responsibility.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills for managing delivery logs and verifying orders.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to all traffic laws and company policies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with Toronto-area roads, particularly Guildwood and surrounding neighborhoods.
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role, demonstrating good service skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic mechanical aptitude for minor motorcycle checks.
