Key Responsibilities
- Assist mixing engineers with session setup, organization, and breakdown.
- Prepare audio files for mixing, including proper labeling, routing, and minor editing as instructed.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the mixing studio and equipment.
- Perform basic troubleshooting of audio equipment and report any issues to senior staff.
- Organize and archive project files, ensuring data integrity and accessibility.
- Provide administrative support to the mixing team, including scheduling and material preparation.
- Learn and apply best practices in studio etiquette, workflow, and safety procedures.
- Support the general operational needs of the audio production department as required.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong passion for music, audio production, or sound engineering.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Basic computer literacy and familiarity with common office software.
- Ability to follow instructions meticulously and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical ability to lift and move equipment (up to 25 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
- Proactive and eager to learn new technologies and techniques.
Preferred Qualifications
- Some exposure to Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs) like Pro Tools, Logic Pro, or Ableton Live.
