Key Responsibilities

  • Operate company vehicles safely and efficiently for local deliveries within the GTA.
  • Load and unload goods carefully, ensuring proper securing and protection of cargo.
  • Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, reporting any issues promptly.
  • Maintain accurate delivery logs, vehicle maintenance reports, and other required documentation.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with warehouse staff, dispatch, and clients.
  • Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, company safety policies, and transportation regulations.
  • Assist with general warehouse duties such as sorting, packing, or organizing inventory when not on deliveries.
  • Ensure timely delivery of goods to designated locations, following assigned routes and schedules.
  • Keep assigned vehicles clean, fueled, and well-maintained.

Required Skills

  • Valid G-class driver's license with a clean driving record (Driver's Abstract required).
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) safely and repeatedly.
  • Strong attention to detail for cargo handling and documentation.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Basic literacy and numeracy skills to read instructions and complete paperwork.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
  • Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
  • A commitment to safety and following established procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent education.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse, delivery, or logistics environment (even informal experience).
  • Familiarity with local Malvern/Toronto routes and surrounding areas.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude for minor vehicle checks.
  • Forklift certification (an asset, but not required for entry-level).
