Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet and welcome all guests upon arrival, creating a positive first impression.
- Accurately manage reservations and walk-in requests using the restaurant's designated reservation system.
- Escort guests to their tables, presenting menus and communicating any pertinent information such as daily specials or promotions.
- Efficiently manage the waiting list, providing accurate wait times and politely updating guests as needed.
- Answer incoming phone calls professionally, assisting with reservation inquiries, directions, and general restaurant information.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the host stand, waiting area, and entryway throughout your shift.
- Strategically assist in seating arrangements to ensure an even and fair distribution of tables among servers.
- Communicate effectively and promptly with kitchen staff, servers, and management regarding table status, guest needs, and special requests.
- Handle minor guest complaints or concerns with professionalism and escalate complex issues to management when necessary.
- Provide a friendly and sincere farewell to departing guests, inviting them to return for future dining experiences.
