As an Unloading Truck Worker, you will be a crucial part of our daily operations, directly responsible for the efficient and safe reception of goods arriving at our facility. Your meticulous efforts ensure that our inventory is accurately processed, safely handled, and promptly made ready for storage or further distribution. Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently unload incoming trucks, trailers, and containers using appropriate equipment and manual techniques.
- Sort and organize received merchandise according to established procedures and inventory systems.
- Verify the accuracy of incoming shipments against manifests or packing slips, reporting any discrepancies.
- Assist with the proper storage of goods in designated warehouse locations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Operate warehouse equipment (e.g., manual pallet jacks, hand trucks) safely after proper training.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of tasks.
- Perform general labour duties as assigned to support overall warehouse operations.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs (23 kg) regularly.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a diverse team.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in tasks.
- Willingness to learn and strictly adhere to all safety procedures and company policies.
- Basic communication skills; fluency in English or French (given location in Quebec).
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is a plus, but not required.
- Experience operating manual pallet jacks or similar material handling equipment.
- Valid driver's license (not mandatory, but beneficial for potential future roles or commuting).
