Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently load and unload trucks, containers, and other transport vehicles using appropriate equipment.
- Safely operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, hand trucks, and potentially forklifts (certification required).
- Verify incoming and outgoing shipments against manifests, ensuring accuracy and reporting discrepancies.
- Organize and stack materials in designated warehouse locations, optimizing space and accessibility.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation as required.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to meet daily operational goals.
- Perform general warehouse duties as assigned, including wrapping pallets and preparing orders for shipment.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) regularly.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and safety procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in counting and verifying shipments.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills for reading manifests and performing simple calculations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or similar loading/unloading role.
