Key Responsibilities

  • Efficiently load and unload trucks, containers, and other transport vehicles using appropriate equipment.
  • Safely operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, hand trucks, and potentially forklifts (certification required).
  • Verify incoming and outgoing shipments against manifests, ensuring accuracy and reporting discrepancies.
  • Organize and stack materials in designated warehouse locations, optimizing space and accessibility.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation as required.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to meet daily operational goals.
  • Perform general warehouse duties as assigned, including wrapping pallets and preparing orders for shipment.

Required Skills

  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) regularly.
  • Basic understanding of warehouse operations and safety procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in counting and verifying shipments.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Reliability and punctuality.
  • Basic literacy and numeracy skills for reading manifests and performing simple calculations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or similar loading/unloading role.
  • Forklift certification (e.g., Counterbalance, Reach Truck) is a significant asset.
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
