Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior engineers with the setup and breakdown of audio recording equipment (microphones, mixers, interfaces, etc.).
- Perform accurate cable management and ensure all connections are secure and properly labeled.
- Support microphone placement and positioning for various instruments and vocalists according to session requirements.
- Monitor basic audio levels during recording sessions to alert senior engineers of any anomalies.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the studio space, equipment storage, and control room.
- Conduct basic troubleshooting of audio equipment under supervision.
- Assist with equipment inventory management and report any missing or damaged items.
- Shadow and learn from experienced sound engineers, asking questions and actively participating in the learning process.
- Adhere to all studio safety protocols and operational guidelines.
- Provide general administrative and logistical support to the production team as needed.
