Key Responsibilities

  • Assist senior engineers with the setup and breakdown of audio recording equipment (microphones, mixers, interfaces, etc.).
  • Perform accurate cable management and ensure all connections are secure and properly labeled.
  • Support microphone placement and positioning for various instruments and vocalists according to session requirements.
  • Monitor basic audio levels during recording sessions to alert senior engineers of any anomalies.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the studio space, equipment storage, and control room.
  • Conduct basic troubleshooting of audio equipment under supervision.
  • Assist with equipment inventory management and report any missing or damaged items.
  • Shadow and learn from experienced sound engineers, asking questions and actively participating in the learning process.
  • Adhere to all studio safety protocols and operational guidelines.
  • Provide general administrative and logistical support to the production team as needed.

Required Skills

  • Strong passion for audio recording, music production, or sound design.
  • Basic understanding of audio equipment functions (e.g., what a microphone, mixer, or DAW does).
