Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular household visits to assess health needs and provide basic health education.
- Educate community members on various health topics including hygiene, nutrition, disease prevention, and family planning.
- Identify individuals needing medical care and facilitate appropriate referrals to health facilities and social services.
- Assist community members in navigating the healthcare system and accessing available resources.
- Collect and maintain accurate data on community health indicators, activities, and referrals.
- Organize and participate in community health outreach programs, workshops, and events.
- Act as an advocate for community health needs, ensuring their voices are heard by healthcare providers and policymakers.
- Build and maintain trusting relationships with community members, leaders, and local stakeholders.
- Monitor and follow up on the health status of individuals and families, providing ongoing support.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, volunteers, and community groups to maximize impact.
Required Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Swahili.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and trust.
- Demonstrated empathy, patience, and cultural sensitivity.

- Understanding of local community dynamics and health challenges.

Preferred Qualifications
- Certificate or Diploma in Community Health, Social Work, Public Health, or a related field.
- At least 1-2 years of proven experience as a Community Health Worker, Field Officer, or Community Mobilizer.
- Familiarity with health campaigns and public health initiatives in Naivasha or Nakuru County.
- Knowledge of local dialects is an added advantage.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
