Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the receiving, unloading, and inspection of incoming goods, verifying quantities against documentation.
- Help organize and stock inventory in designated warehouse locations, ensuring proper labeling and accessibility.
- Pick and prepare orders accurately and efficiently for dispatch, ensuring items are packed safely.
- Assist with loading outgoing shipments onto delivery vehicles.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment within the warehouse, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Operate basic warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet jacks) after receiving appropriate training.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and assist with stock reconciliation as directed.
- Report any discrepancies, damages, or safety hazards to the warehouse supervisor promptly.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure smooth daily operations and meet departmental goals.
- Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned to support overall warehouse functions.
Required Skills
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English and Swahili.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Physical fitness and ability to lift and move packages up to 25 kg.
- Punctuality and reliability.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and procedures.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Basic numeracy skills for counting and stock verification.
Preferred Qualifications
- A valid KCSE certificate or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a physical labor role or a fast-paced environment (e.g., retail, farming) is a plus but not required.
- Familiarity with basic computer operations for data entry.
