Job Description

Career.zycto is seeking an exceptional and visionary Director of Learning & Development to lead our talent strategy in Nyanga, Manicaland Province. This pivotal role involves designing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive learning initiatives that empower our workforce, enhance performance, and cultivate a culture of continuous growth. You will be instrumental in identifying critical skill gaps, developing innovative training programs, and leveraging cutting-edge methodologies to ensure our employees are equipped for future challenges and opportunities, fostering both individual and organizational excellence.

As the Director of Learning & Development, you will be responsible for setting the strategic direction for all L&D activities, aligning them seamlessly with the company’s overall business objectives and long-term vision. This includes conducting thorough needs assessments, designing impactful curriculum, meticulously managing vendor relationships, overseeing the L&D budget with fiscal responsibility, and rigorously evaluating program effectiveness to ensure a strong return on investment. You will collaborate closely with senior leadership, department heads, and HR business partners to understand specific departmental needs and to tailor bespoke solutions that drive measurable improvements in productivity, employee engagement, and retention. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive L&D strategy aligned with organizational goals and future workforce needs.
  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of innovative learning programs, workshops, and e-learning modules.
  • Conduct thorough training needs analyses to identify skill gaps and development priorities across all departments.
  • Manage the L&D budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and optimal resource allocation for all initiatives.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness and impact of learning programs using relevant metrics and feedback mechanisms.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with external training providers, consultants, and educational institutions.
  • Mentor and develop a high-performing L&D team, fostering their professional growth and expertise.
  • Collaborate with HR business partners and senior leadership to integrate L&D initiatives into broader talent management strategies.
  • Champion a culture of continuous learning, knowledge sharing, and professional development throughout the organization.
  • Stay abreast of industry best practices, emerging technologies, and trends in learning and development.
