Career.zycto is seeking a dedicated and safety-conscious Mine Worker to join our production team in Tadcaster, North Yorkshire. This full-time role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to essential resource extraction operations, ensuring the efficient and safe production of raw materials vital to numerous industries. Key Responsibilities
- Operate heavy mining machinery and equipment safely and efficiently, including excavators, dump trucks, loaders, and drills, as required.
- Perform pre-start checks, routine maintenance, and minor repairs on equipment to ensure optimal functionality and report any defects promptly.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and environmental regulations, policies, and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
- Assist with loading, hauling, and offloading materials according to site plans and production schedules.
- Monitor production levels and quality, ensuring targets are met while maintaining standards.
- Participate in site clean-up activities, including shoveling, sweeping, and maintaining equipment cleanliness.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding operational status, safety concerns, and potential issues.
- Contribute to a positive team culture, demonstrating reliability, punctuality, and a willingness to learn and adapt.
Required Skills
- Proven experience operating heavy machinery, preferably in a mining, quarrying, or construction environment.
- Strong understanding and commitment to health and safety regulations and practices.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Physical fitness and stamina to perform demanding tasks in various weather conditions.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.

Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant NVQ or vocational qualification in plant operations or mining.
