As a Delivery Driver, you will be the face of our client’s brand, ensuring timely and secure deliveries to a diverse customer base across local routes. You’ll operate a company vehicle, following pre-planned routes, and managing your deliveries efficiently while upholding the highest standards of safety and professionalism. Key Responsibilities

  • Safely and efficiently operate a company delivery vehicle to transport goods to various locations.
  • Follow planned delivery routes and schedules, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
  • Load and unload packages and goods, ensuring their secure transit.
  • Interact professionally and courteously with customers during deliveries.
  • Maintain accurate delivery logs and complete necessary paperwork.
  • Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any maintenance issues promptly.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety regulations at all times.
  • Handle cash or card payments if required, following company procedures.
  • Represent the company's values and brand positively during all interactions.

Required Skills

  • Full, valid UK driving licence (Category B or equivalent)
  • Clean driving record (minimal points, if any)
  • Strong work ethic and reliability
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Physical capability to lift and move packages (up to 25kg)
  • A positive attitude and a willingness to learn

Preferred Qualifications

  • Basic knowledge of local road networks in and around Clifford/Tadcaster
  • Previous experience in a role requiring customer interaction
  • Familiarity with using GPS and navigation devices
  • A passion for providing excellent service and exceeding customer expectations
