As a Delivery Driver, you will be the face of our client’s brand, ensuring timely and secure deliveries to a diverse customer base across local routes. This role is more than just driving; it’s about connecting communities, ensuring vital goods reach their destination, and embodying the reliability our clients are known for. You’ll operate a company vehicle, following pre-planned routes, and managing your deliveries efficiently while upholding the highest standards of safety and professionalism. Full training will be provided, equipping you with all the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in this role, from navigation and delivery protocols to customer interaction best practices.

Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently operate a company delivery vehicle to transport goods to various locations.
- Follow planned delivery routes and schedules, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
- Load and unload packages and goods, ensuring their secure transit.
- Interact professionally and courteously with customers during deliveries.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and complete necessary paperwork.
- Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety regulations at all times.
- Handle cash or card payments if required, following company procedures.
- Represent the company's values and brand positively during all interactions.
Required Skills
- Full, valid UK driving licence (Category B or equivalent)
- Clean driving record (minimal points, if any)
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Physical capability to lift and move packages (up to 25kg)
- A positive attitude and a willingness to learn
Preferred Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of local road networks in and around Clifford/Tadcaster
- Previous experience in a role requiring customer interaction
- Familiarity with using GPS and navigation devices
- A passion for providing excellent service and exceeding customer expectations
