Key Responsibilities
- Perform extensive data exploration, cleaning, and preprocessing to prepare datasets for model training.
- Develop, implement, and fine-tune various machine learning models (e.g., regression, classification, clustering, time series) to address specific business problems.
- Evaluate model performance rigorously using appropriate metrics and techniques, and communicate results effectively to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Collaborate with data engineers to ensure robust data pipelines and seamless integration of models into production systems.
- Work closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements, define project scope, and translate business questions into analytical problems.
- Monitor deployed models for performance degradation, retraining, and maintenance to ensure ongoing accuracy and relevance.
- Research and experiment with new machine learning algorithms and technologies to continuously improve analytical capabilities.
- Create comprehensive documentation for models, methodologies, and findings.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Python and relevant ML libraries (e.g., Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch).
- Strong understanding of statistical modeling, hypothesis testing, and experimental design.
- Experience with SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
- Demonstrated ability to perform data cleaning, feature engineering, and exploratory data analysis.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, capable of explaining complex technical concepts clearly.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's or PhD degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
