You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and continuously improving our cloud security posture, working hands-on with leading cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform. Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain robust cloud security architectures across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- Conduct thorough security assessments, penetration tests, and vulnerability scans of cloud environments.
- Develop, enforce, and continuously refine security policies, standards, and procedures.
- Lead incident response activities, including investigation, containment, eradication, and recovery.
- Implement and manage security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, WAF, and DLP solutions.
- Automate security processes and integrate security into CI/CD pipelines using IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Collaborate effectively with development, operations, and compliance teams to embed security throughout the SDLC.
- Stay abreast of emerging cloud security threats, technologies, and industry best practices.
- Provide expert security guidance, mentorship, and training to engineering teams.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory frameworks (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001, NIST).
Required Skills
- Proven experience in cloud security engineering with expertise in at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Strong understanding of cloud networking, identity and access management (IAM), data encryption, and security governance.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation.
- Hands-on experience with security tools for vulnerability management, threat detection, and incident response.
- Knowledge of container security principles and tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Azure Resource Manager templates.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with common security frameworks and standards (e.g., CIS Benchmarks, OWASP).
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant cloud security certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Security – Specialty, Azure Security Engineer Associate, Google Cloud Professional Cloud Security Engineer).
- Industry certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, CISM.
