Key Responsibilities
- Assist agronomists with field scouting, data collection, and analysis.
- Monitor crop health, identify pests, diseases, and nutrient deficiencies.
- Collect soil and plant tissue samples for laboratory analysis.
- Operate and maintain field equipment for planting, spraying, and harvesting.
- Assist in the calibration of agricultural machinery and precision farming tools.
- Maintain accurate records of field activities, observations, and data.
- Support the implementation of research trials and demonstration plots.
- Provide assistance with irrigation scheduling and nutrient management plans.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and environmental regulations.
- Communicate effectively with team members and farm personnel.
Required Skills
- Basic knowledge of agronomy principles, crop science, or soil science.
- Proficiency in data collection and basic record-keeping.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
- Valid driver's license and ability to operate farm vehicles/equipment.
- Physical ability to perform tasks in various weather conditions.
