Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough screening of passengers, baggage, cargo, and airport personnel using advanced security technology and manual inspection techniques.
- Monitor and control access to restricted areas, verifying credentials and ensuring compliance with security protocols.
- Respond effectively to security incidents, alarms, and suspicious activities, following established procedures and collaborating with relevant authorities.
- Perform regular patrols of airport facilities, including terminals, airside, and perimeter areas, to detect and deter potential threats.
- Enforce aviation security regulations and report violations promptly and accurately.
- Maintain detailed records of security activities, incidents, and screenings.
- Provide professional and courteous assistance to passengers while upholding security standards.
- Operate and maintain security equipment, including X-ray machines, metal detectors, and other detection devices.
- Undergo continuous training and certification to stay updated on the latest security procedures and technologies.
Required Skills
- Excellent observational and analytical skills
- Strong verbal and written communication in English and French (bilingualism is highly valued in Quebec)
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment
- Proficiency in using security equipment (e.g., X-ray, metal detectors)
- Sound judgment and decision-making capabilities
