Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine preventative maintenance, calibration, and repair on industrial robots and automation systems.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex electrical, mechanical, and software issues in robotic cells.
- Program, teach, and optimize robot paths and sequences to improve operational efficiency and product quality.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to implement new robotic applications and process improvements.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and system modifications.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and procedures in all work activities, fostering a secure work environment.
- Provide technical support and training to production operators on robotic system functionality.
- Participate in the commissioning and de-commissioning of robotic equipment and cells.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system reliability and overall operational performance.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Robotics Technician or similar role in an industrial setting (2+ years).
- Strong understanding of robotic systems, including mechanical, electrical, and control aspects.
- Proficiency in programming and troubleshooting industrial robots (e.g., FANUC, ABB, KUKA, Universal Robots).
- Knowledge of PLC programming (e.g., Siemens, Rockwell/Allen-Bradley) and HMI interfaces.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical manuals.
- Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills for complex technical issues.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to industry standards and best practices.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate effectively across departments.
Preferred Qualifications
- HNC/HND or equivalent in Robotics, Automation, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Experience with vision systems, sensors, and other peripheral automation equipment.
- Familiarity with various industrial communication protocols (e.g., Ethernet/IP, Profinet, DeviceNet).
- Certification in specific robot brand programming or maintenance.
