This includes programming PLCs, configuring HMI/SCADA systems, integrating robotics, and ensuring seamless data flow between different control systems. Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, program, and test PLC-based control systems (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi, etc.).
  • Configure and implement Human Machine Interface (HMI) and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems.
  • Integrate robotic systems (e.g., KUKA, Fanuc, ABB) into manufacturing processes.
  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and ensure all automated systems comply with relevant safety standards and regulations.
  • Perform system commissioning, troubleshooting, and fault diagnosis on automation equipment.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including electrical schematics, software specifications, and user manuals.
  • Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and production teams to identify automation opportunities and optimize existing processes.
  • Provide technical support and training to operations and maintenance personnel.
  • Stay abreast of new technologies and industry trends in automation and control.
  • Participate in project planning, scheduling, and budget management to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in PLC programming (Ladder Logic, Structured Text, Function Block Diagram).
  • Experience with HMI/SCADA system design and development.
  • Strong understanding of industrial networking protocols (e.g., Profinet, Ethernet/IP, Modbus).
  • Familiarity with robotic programming and integration.
  • Solid knowledge of electrical control systems, sensors, and actuators.
  • Proven experience in fault finding and diagnostics within automated environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
  • Experience with vision systems and industrial cameras.
  • Knowledge of database integration and data acquisition for manufacturing intelligence.
  • Project management experience, particularly in automation projects.
  • Proficiency in CAD software for electrical design (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN).
