Key Responsibilities
- Perform manual labour such as tree planting, pruning, thinning, and brush clearing.
- Operate and maintain a variety of forestry equipment, including chainsaws, brush cutters, and other hand tools, ensuring safe and efficient operation.
- Assist with timber harvesting operations, including felling, bucking, and skidding.
- Participate in forest inventory and mapping activities, collecting data on tree species, size, and health.
- Implement forest fire prevention and suppression measures, including building firebreaks and monitoring for hazards.
- Conduct site preparation for reforestation, including clearing debris and preparing soil.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, environmental regulations, and company policies.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to achieve project goals.
- Perform basic maintenance and minor repairs on equipment as needed.
