As a Ruby Developer at Career.zycto, you’ll be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining complex web applications using Ruby on Rails. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deploy high-quality web applications using Ruby on Rails.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient Ruby code following best practices and design patterns.
- Collaborate with product owners, designers, and fellow engineers to define, design, and ship new features.
- Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and ensuring code quality.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing software to improve performance and stability.
- Contribute to architectural discussions and decisions, helping to shape our technical roadmap.
- Develop and maintain robust APIs for internal and external consumption.
- Implement and advocate for TDD/BDD methodologies to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve our stack.
Required Skills
- 3+ years of professional experience with Ruby on Rails development.
- Strong proficiency in Ruby programming language.
- Solid understanding of relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and SQL.
- Experience with RESTful API design and implementation.
- Familiarity with version control systems, especially Git.
- Proficiency in writing unit, integration, and end-to-end tests (e.g., RSpec, Capybara).
