Key Responsibilities

  • Perform general cleaning duties in office settings, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, emptying bins, and sanitising surfaces.
  • Execute thorough cleaning of residential properties, encompassing kitchens, bathrooms, living areas, and bedrooms.
  • Ensure hotel rooms and communal areas (lobbies, corridors, restrooms) are cleaned to exacting hospitality standards, including bed making and linen changes.
  • Clean and disinfect washrooms and kitchens, replenishing supplies as needed.
  • Operate and maintain cleaning equipment safely and effectively.
  • Manage waste disposal and recycling in designated areas.
  • Report any maintenance issues, damage, or hazards observed during cleaning.
  • Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Maintain a professional and courteous demeanour when interacting with clients, residents, and guests.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in cleaning or a similar role.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a thorough approach to work.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy.
  • Knowledge of cleaning products, chemicals, and equipment.
  • Strong understanding of health and safety procedures, particularly COSHH guidelines.
  • Good physical stamina and the ability to perform tasks requiring bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience working in multiple environments (e.g., commercial, residential, hospitality).
  • NVQ Level 1 or 2 in Cleaning and Support Services.
  • Full UK driving license and access to a reliable vehicle (due to potential travel between sites).
  • First Aid certification.
