Key Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections, repairs, and modifications on aircraft systems and components in accordance with company manuals, manufacturer's specifications, and Transport Canada regulations.
- Troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems using diagnostic tools and technical documentation.
- Complete all necessary documentation accurately and legibly, including logbooks, work orders, and maintenance records, ensuring compliance with airworthiness directives and service bulletins.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, environmental regulations, and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
- Collaborate effectively with other technicians, engineers, and flight crew to ensure efficient workflow and resolution of technical issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored and calibrated.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with industry best practices and technological advancements.
- Conduct pre-flight and post-flight inspections as required.
Required Skills
- Valid Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) license (M1 or M2 preferred)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Aircraft Maintenance Technician, preferably on various aircraft types.
- Thorough understanding of Transport Canada Aviation Regulations (CARs) and airworthiness standards.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency in troubleshooting aircraft systems.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and maintenance manuals.
- Excellent diagnostic, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with standard computer applications for record-keeping and communication.
