Career.zycto is actively seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) to join our growing team in Summerside, Prince Edward Island. As an AMT, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety, reliability, and airworthiness of various aircraft. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections, repairs, and modifications on aircraft systems and components in accordance with company manuals, manufacturer's specifications, and Transport Canada regulations.
  • Troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems using diagnostic tools and technical documentation.
  • Complete all necessary documentation accurately and legibly, including logbooks, work orders, and maintenance records, ensuring compliance with airworthiness directives and service bulletins.
  • Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, environmental regulations, and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Collaborate effectively with other technicians, engineers, and flight crew to ensure efficient workflow and resolution of technical issues.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored and calibrated.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with industry best practices and technological advancements.
  • Conduct pre-flight and post-flight inspections as required.

Required Skills

  • Valid Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) license (M1 or M2 preferred)
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Aircraft Maintenance Technician, preferably on various aircraft types.
  • Thorough understanding of Transport Canada Aviation Regulations (CARs) and airworthiness standards.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency in troubleshooting aircraft systems.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and maintenance manuals.
  • Excellent diagnostic, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with standard computer applications for record-keeping and communication.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with specific aircraft types relevant to regional operations.
  • Additional specialized training or certifications (e.g., avionics, structures).
  • Familiarity with modern maintenance tracking software systems.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards.
