As a Concert Crew Member, you will be an indispensable part of bringing unforgettable live events to life, from intimate local gigs to larger regional productions. This role offers an incredible opportunity to work behind the scenes, contributing directly to the magic that audiences experience and helping to shape memorable cultural moments across the West Midlands.
Your days will be diverse and demanding, involving a wide variety of tasks crucial for successful event execution. You’ll be instrumental in the physical setup and breakdown of stages, lighting rigs, sound systems, and backline equipment, often under tight deadlines. This isn’t just about heavy lifting; it’s about precision, attention to detail, and a keen understanding of the logistics involved in event production. You will assist with the careful loading and unloading of trucks, positioning equipment according to detailed technical specifications and schematics, and ensuring that everything is securely fastened and safe for both performers and the audience. This can involve working with diverse equipment, from modular stage elements to intricate audio-visual components.
Safety is paramount in all our operations, and you will be expected to adhere strictly to all health and safety regulations and company policies. This includes using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times, participating in safety briefings, and following safe working practices for manual handling and equipment operation. You’ll work closely with production managers, sound engineers, lighting designers, stage managers, and other crew members, fostering a highly collaborative and communicative environment where every team member’s contribution is valued. While the work can be physically demanding and often involves irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and occasionally late nights, the reward is immense: seeing the culmination of your efforts in a spectacular live performance and the joy it brings to thousands. This role is perfect for someone looking to gain valuable, hands-on experience in the exciting events industry, develop practical technical and logistical skills, and be part of a vibrant community dedicated to the power of live entertainment.
