Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement state-of-the-art NLP models and algorithms for various applications, including text classification, named entity recognition, sentiment analysis, and machine translation.
- Preprocess and clean large datasets of unstructured text, ensuring data quality and readiness for model training.
- Evaluate and fine-tune NLP models, performing rigorous A/B testing and performance analysis to optimise accuracy and efficiency.
- Collaborate with data scientists, machine learning engineers, and product managers to integrate NLP solutions into existing and new products.
- Research and experiment with new NLP techniques, frameworks, and tools to maintain our competitive edge.
- Develop and maintain robust, scalable, and efficient NLP pipelines.
- Document technical designs, research findings, and operational procedures.
- Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to peers.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes and best practices.
Required Skills
- Strong proficiency in Python and relevant NLP libraries (e.g., NLTK, spaCy, Hugging Face Transformers).
- Solid understanding of machine learning fundamentals and deep learning architectures (RNNs, LSTMs, Transformers).
- Experience with deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
- Proven ability to work with large, unstructured text datasets.
- Familiarity with data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
