Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Azure Resource Manager.
  • Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure deployments.
  • Monitor cloud environments for performance, security, and cost optimization, proactively identifying and resolving issues.
  • Ensure adherence to security best practices, compliance standards, and governance policies within cloud environments.
  • Automate routine operational tasks and develop tools to improve efficiency and reliability.
  • Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to define and implement cloud strategies.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
  • Participate in on-call rotation for critical infrastructure support (if applicable).
  • Stay current with emerging cloud technologies and industry trends, evaluating their applicability to our needs.

Required Skills

  • Strong experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts (VPC, subnets, routing, firewalls, VPNs).
  • Experience with CI/CD tools and methodologies (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
  • Scripting proficiency in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, CloudWatch, Azure Monitor).
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator Associate, GCP Professional Cloud Architect).
  • Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
  • Knowledge of database technologies (SQL and NoSQL) in cloud environments.
  • Experience with serverless architectures (e.g., AWS Lambda, Azure Functions).
  • Understanding of microservices architecture.
  • Previous experience in a DevOps or SRE role.
