Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain advanced network security architectures and solutions.
- Monitor network traffic for anomalies, security breaches, and potential threats, responding to incidents promptly.
- Perform regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing simulations.
- Configure, manage, and troubleshoot security devices including firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto, Cisco ASA, Fortinet), IDS/IPS, VPNs, and web application firewalls (WAFs).
- Develop, review, and enforce comprehensive security policies, standards, and procedures in line with industry best practices.
- Collaborate with IT operations, infrastructure, and development teams to ensure secure network design and deployment.
- Stay abreast of the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies, recommending proactive measures to enhance security.
- Provide expert technical support and guidance on all network security-related matters.
- Participate in disaster recovery planning and business continuity efforts related to network security.
Required Skills
- Proven experience with network security principles, protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP), and technologies.
- Hands-on experience configuring and managing enterprise-level firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto, Cisco, Fortinet).
- Proficiency with intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS) and security information and event management (SIEM) tools.
- Strong understanding of VPN technologies, secure remote access, and network segmentation.
- Familiarity with network vulnerability scanning tools and methodologies.
- Solid understanding of routing, switching, and wireless security.
- Scripting skills (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation and analysis.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of explaining complex security issues clearly.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant industry certifications such as CCNA Security, CCNP Security, CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CEH, or equivalent.
- Experience with cloud security platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and container security.
- Knowledge of ethical hacking techniques and penetration testing.
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001, PCI DSS).
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field.
