Your day will involve carefully planning optimal routes using GPS and internal systems, meticulously verifying package details against manifests, and interacting with a diverse range of clients, always upholding the highest standards of professionalism and courtesy. You’ll be instrumental in ensuring that our customers receive their items precisely when and where they expect them, contributing significantly to their satisfaction and our reputation. Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently operate a company vehicle to deliver packages to various destinations within Nairobi.
- Plan and follow the most efficient routes for timely deliveries, utilizing GPS and navigation tools.
- Load, unload, and organize packages carefully to prevent damage during transit.
- Verify package contents and delivery details against manifests or electronic devices.
- Interact with customers professionally, obtaining signatures and providing excellent service.
- Process payments and complete necessary paperwork or digital confirmations for deliveries.
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections and ensure the vehicle is clean and well-maintained.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company safety policies, and local regulations.
- Communicate any delays, issues, or accidents to dispatch immediately.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption.
Required Skills
- Valid Kenyan driving license (Class BCE or higher)
- Minimum 1 year of professional driving experience (e.g., courier, taxi, commercial delivery)
- Excellent knowledge of Nairobi roads and traffic patterns
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Customer service orientation with good communication abilities
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 25 kg
- Basic smartphone proficiency for navigation and delivery apps
