Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the accurate and timely processing of weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly payroll.
  • Verify and input employee data, including new hires, terminations, and changes to salaries, benefits, and deductions.
  • Review timesheets and other payroll-related documentation for accuracy and completeness.
  • Support the reconciliation of payroll data and resolve discrepancies.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of all payroll and employee information.
  • Prepare and distribute payroll reports as required.
  • Assist employees with basic payroll inquiries and provide accurate information.
  • Stay informed about relevant payroll regulations and compliance requirements.

Required Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Basic understanding of mathematical concepts.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in French (English is an asset).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant coursework in accounting, finance, or business administration.
  • Familiarity with payroll software or HRIS (Human Resources Information System).
  • Previous administrative experience in any capacity (volunteer or paid).
