Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement algorithms for perception, navigation, control, and decision-making in autonomous systems.
  • Integrate and configure various sensors (LIDAR, camera, radar, IMU, GPS) for robust environmental perception and state estimation.
  • Develop and maintain software infrastructure for robotics platforms, primarily using C++ and Python within a Linux/ROS environment.
  • Conduct extensive testing, simulation, and validation of autonomous behaviors and system performance.
  • Collaborate with hardware engineers for seamless integration of software onto robotic platforms.
  • Participate in field testing and data collection to refine algorithms and improve system reliability.
  • Debug complex issues across hardware and software components of autonomous systems.
  • Document design specifications, testing procedures, and system architecture comprehensively.
  • Stay abreast of the latest advancements in robotics, AI, and autonomous technologies.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in C++ and Python programming.
  • Strong understanding of robotics fundamentals (kinematics, dynamics, control theory).
  • Experience with Robotic Operating System (ROS) or similar middleware.
  • Familiarity with sensor fusion techniques (Kalman filters, particle filters).
  • Knowledge of perception algorithms (object detection, tracking, segmentation).
  • Experience with path planning and navigation algorithms.
  • Solid understanding of Linux operating systems.
