Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, and loading.
- Build and optimize data warehouses, data lakes, and data marts to support analytics and reporting needs.
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across all data platforms.
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and software engineers to understand data requirements and deliver appropriate solutions.
- Implement and manage data governance best practices, including data cataloging and metadata management.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data infrastructure for performance and reliability.
- Evaluate and implement new data technologies and tools to improve efficiency and capabilities.
- Contribute to architectural discussions and strategic planning for data initiatives.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in SQL and relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server).
- Strong programming skills in Python or Java.
- Experience with cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their data services (e.g., S3, Redshift, Snowflake, BigQuery, Data Factory).
- Demonstrable experience in designing and building robust ETL/ELT processes.
- Understanding of data warehousing concepts and data modeling techniques.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
