Job Description
This is a pivotal role for a creative and technically proficient Web Designer to join our expanding team in Whitehall, Bristol. Key Responsibilities
- Design and create visually appealing, user-friendly, and responsive websites and web applications.
- Translate client requirements and project briefs into compelling wireframes, mockups, and prototypes using industry-standard design tools.
- Collaborate closely with clients, project managers, and development teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure all designs adhere to brand guidelines, user experience best practices, and accessibility standards (WCAG).
- Prepare and optimize design assets for web development.
- Conduct user research and usability testing to inform design decisions and iterate on designs.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest web design trends, technologies, and software.
- Actively participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback.
- Maintain and improve existing website designs and user interfaces.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in modern design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD).
- Strong understanding of UI/UX principles, user-centered design, and information architecture.
- Solid grasp of responsive and adaptive design techniques.
- Experience with HTML5, CSS3, and basic JavaScript for design implementation and understanding development constraints.
- Excellent visual design skills with a strong portfolio showcasing web design projects.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Strong communication and presentation skills to articulate design concepts.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality output.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Web Design, Graphic Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
