Job Description

Career.zycto is seeking a highly skilled and motivated AWS DevOps Engineer to join our growing team in Barton Hill, Bristol. This is an exceptional opportunity for an individual passionate about designing, implementing, and maintaining robust, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure on Amazon Web Services (AWS). You will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between development and operations, ensuring seamless deployment, monitoring, and scaling of our cutting-edge applications. We operate in a fast-paced, agile environment where innovation is not just encouraged, but expected.

As an AWS DevOps Engineer, you will be instrumental in automating our software delivery pipelines, enhancing system reliability, and driving efficiency across our engineering practices. We are looking for someone who breathes infrastructure as code, continuous integration, and continuous deployment (CI/CD). You will work closely with our development teams to understand their needs, provide expert guidance on AWS best practices, and implement solutions that accelerate product delivery and improve operational excellence. Your expertise will directly contribute to building resilient and high-performing systems that power our innovative services, supporting a diverse range of clients from various sectors. This role isn’t just about managing servers; it’s about enabling developers to ship code faster and more reliably, fostering a culture of shared responsibility and operational excellence.

Your day-to-day will involve designing and implementing scalable cloud architectures using services like EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, S3, RDS, and VPC. You’ll manage infrastructure through IaC tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation, ensuring version control and auditability for all infrastructure changes. Setting up comprehensive monitoring and alerting systems using AWS CloudWatch, Prometheus, or Grafana will be key to proactive issue resolution. Furthermore, you will be responsible for troubleshooting complex production issues, optimizing cloud resource utilization to manage costs effectively, and ensuring our environments adhere to stringent security and compliance standards, implementing best practices for identity and access management (IAM) and network security. This role demands a proactive problem-solver with a strong understanding of the full software development lifecycle and a commitment to continuous improvement. We foster an environment where your ideas are valued, your growth is supported through challenging projects, and you have access to professional development opportunities. If you’re ready to make a significant impact and contribute to a forward-thinking technology company, shaping the future of cloud solutions, we encourage you to apply.
