Job Description
Deloitte is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Remote Front-End Developer to join our dynamic team, based out of our Washington, D.C. office. While this role offers the flexibility of remote work, you’ll be an integral part of our D.C.-focused projects, collaborating virtually with a diverse group of engineers, designers, and product owners across the nation. As a Front-End Developer, you will be responsible for building cutting-edge, responsive, and user-friendly web applications that meet the evolving needs of our clients. You’ll translate UI/UX design wireframes to actual code, producing visual elements of the application, and ensuring the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs. This role demands a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of modern front-end frameworks, and a passion for creating exceptional user experiences. You’ll contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle, from conceptualization and design to testing and deployment. Key Responsibilities
- Develop high-quality, scalable, and responsive user interfaces using modern front-end technologies and frameworks.
- Collaborate closely with UI/UX designers, back-end developers, and project managers to ensure seamless integration and user experience.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices and coding standards.
- Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability, ensuring cross-browser compatibility and accessibility standards (WCAG).
- Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality, share knowledge, and foster a collaborative development environment.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues across various browsers and devices.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in front-end development.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes, tools, and methodologies.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3.
- Strong experience with at least one modern JavaScript framework (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js).
- Demonstrated experience with responsive and adaptive design principles.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and asynchronous request handling.
- Experience with version control systems, preferably Git.
- Solid understanding of web performance optimization techniques.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team setting.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with TypeScript.
- Familiarity with state management libraries (e.g., Redux, Vuex, NgRx).
- Knowledge of testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress).
- Experience with server-side rendering (SSR) or static site generation (SSG).
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
