Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain automation scripts and tools using Python, Bash, or PowerShell to provision, configure, and manage infrastructure components.
  • Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform or Ansible for consistent and repeatable infrastructure deployments across cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
  • Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps to automate software deployment and infrastructure changes.
  • Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to identify automation opportunities and integrate automated solutions into existing workflows.
  • Monitor automated systems, troubleshoot issues, and implement proactive measures to ensure high availability and performance.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for automated processes, tools, and infrastructure configurations.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and best practices in infrastructure automation, cloud computing, and DevOps, recommending and implementing improvements.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
  • Strong proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, specifically AWS and/or Azure.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
  • Solid understanding of Linux/Windows operating systems and system administration.
  • Proficiency with version control systems, particularly Git.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert).
  • Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack).
  • Understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, Load Balancing).
  • Experience in automating database management or migration tasks.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
