You will be responsible for all aspects of the children’s care, including their physical, emotional, and social well-being. This involves preparing nutritious meals, coordinating engaging activities, managing school pick-ups and drop-offs, assisting with homework, and maintaining a tidy and organised children’s environment. The ideal candidate will be proactive, organised, and possess a genuine love for children, coupled with a calm and patient demeanour.
We are seeking someone who can commit long-term, bringing stability and consistency to the children’s routine. The typical schedule will be Monday to Friday, with occasional flexibility required for evening babysitting or travel, communicated well in advance. Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive daily care for two children aged 4 and 7.
- Plan and execute engaging age-appropriate activities, including educational games, creative arts, and outdoor play.
- Prepare healthy and nutritious meals and snacks, accommodating any dietary requirements.
- Manage school runs, including drop-offs and pick-ups.
- Assist with homework and school projects, fostering a love for learning.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organised environment for the children's areas.
- Oversee children's bath time and bedtime routines.
- Organise children's laundry and ensure wardrobes are neat.
- Communicate effectively and regularly with parents regarding children's progress and daily activities.
- Handle occasional evening babysitting as mutually agreed upon.
- Administer basic first aid when necessary.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Nanny or in a similar childcare role (minimum 3 years).
- Demonstrable knowledge of child development stages for children aged 4-7.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to plan and implement engaging activities.
- Strong organisational and time management abilities.
- Patient, kind, and nurturing demeanour.
- First Aid and CPR certification (up-to-date).
- Clean driving license and own reliable transport.
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
