Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the assembly and disassembly of drilling equipment and tools on the rig floor.
- Handle, sort, and connect drilling pipes and tools under the direction of the Driller and Assistant Driller.
- Operate and maintain various pieces of drilling machinery and manual tools, ensuring they are in safe working order.
- Help with the preparation and handling of drilling fluids and chemicals.
- Maintain a clean and organised rig floor, ensuring all equipment is stored correctly and hazards are minimised.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, participating actively in safety briefings.
- Assist with routine maintenance tasks on the drilling rig and associated equipment.
- Communicate effectively with other crew members to ensure efficient and safe operations.
- Participate in emergency drills and be prepared to respond to any on-site incidents.
- Demonstrate a proactive approach to learning and continuous skill development.
