Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, negotiate, and administer a wide range of commercial contracts, including client service agreements, vendor agreements, and non-disclosure agreements.
- Ensure all contracts adhere to company policies, legal requirements, and industry best practices.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all contractual matters, liaising with internal stakeholders and external parties.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate contractual risks, providing proactive advice and solutions to management.
- Maintain a comprehensive contract management system, ensuring accurate record-keeping and easy retrieval of documents.
- Monitor contract performance and compliance, addressing any deviations or disputes in a timely and effective manner.
- Develop and implement contract templates, guidelines, and procedures to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
- Provide training and guidance to internal teams on contractual terms, obligations, and risk awareness.
- Stay updated on relevant legal and regulatory changes affecting contractual agreements in Australia and internationally.
- Support tender and proposal processes by reviewing contractual terms and conditions.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 6 years of proven experience in contract management or a related legal/commercial role.
- Demonstrated expertise in contract law, negotiation strategies, and risk assessment.
- Strong understanding of Australian commercial law and regulatory frameworks.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex legal concepts clearly.
