Key Responsibilities
- Lead, supervise, and mentor a team of security officers, ensuring high performance and adherence to standards.
- Develop, implement, and enforce security policies, procedures, and protocols to protect company assets, personnel, and information.
- Conduct regular patrols, inspections, and surveillance of premises to identify and address potential security risks.
- Respond promptly and effectively to all security incidents, emergencies, and alarms, including first aid and crisis management.
- Oversee the operation and maintenance of security systems, including CCTV, access control, and alarm systems.
- Prepare comprehensive incident reports, daily activity logs, and other security-related documentation.
- Conduct ongoing training sessions and drills for security personnel on emergency procedures, incident response, and security best practices.
- Liaise with local law enforcement, emergency services, and other external stakeholders as needed.
- Manage visitor access and vehicle control, ensuring proper authentication and recording.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant security regulations, company policies, and legal requirements.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 4 years of proven experience in security operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities.
- Proficiency in incident command, emergency response, and crisis management.
- Strong knowledge of security procedures, protocols, and risk assessment techniques.
- Familiarity with CCTV, access control systems, and other security technologies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reports and team interaction.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and make sound decisions in critical situations.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and ethical conduct.
- Physical fitness and ability to stand, walk, and perform duties for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional certification in security management (e.g., ASIS CPP, PSP, CSMP).
- Diploma or Degree in Criminology, Security Management, or a related field.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- Experience with integrated security management systems.
- Fluency in English and Swahili; knowledge of Kikuyu is an added advantage.
