Key Responsibilities
- Assist physiotherapists with patient treatments, including therapeutic exercises, gait training, and mobility drills.
- Prepare treatment areas and equipment, ensuring cleanliness, safety, and proper functionality.
- Monitor and document patient progress, vital signs, and responses to therapy, reporting observations to the supervising physiotherapist.
- Educate patients and their families on home exercise programs, use of assistive devices, and injury prevention techniques.
- Maintain accurate and organized patient records and schedule appointments.
- Provide administrative support as needed, contributing to the smooth operation of the clinic.
- Ensure strict adherence to infection control protocols and patient confidentiality.
Required Skills
- Diploma or Certificate in Physiotherapy Assisting or a related healthcare field.
- Proven experience assisting in a clinical or rehabilitation setting for at least 1 year.
- Strong understanding of human anatomy, physiology, and rehabilitation principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and colleagues.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Empathy, patience, and a compassionate approach to patient care.
- Basic computer proficiency for record-keeping and administrative tasks.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy or a related health science.

- First Aid and CPR certification.
- Knowledge of local language (Yoruba) is a plus.
