Job Description

This role is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and driven individual to embark on a career in the rapidly expanding renewable energy sector. As a Renewable Energy Assistant at Career.zycto, you will play a crucial supporting role in various projects aimed at promoting sustainable energy solutions across Narok and Narok County. This entry-level position is meticulously designed to provide comprehensive hands-on experience, allowing you to learn the practical aspects of renewable energy deployment, maintenance, and community engagement from the ground up. It’s a chance to gain invaluable insights into the full project lifecycle, from initial planning to operational support.

You will work closely with experienced engineers, technicians, and project managers, assisting them in the daily operations of solar PV installations, small-scale wind energy projects, and potentially bioenergy initiatives. Your tasks will be diverse, ranging from conducting initial site assessments and collecting essential data for feasibility studies, to meticulous inventory management of equipment and materials. You will be instrumental in preparing critical project documentation, compiling reports, and ensuring strict compliance with all relevant safety standards and environmental regulations. This isn’t just a desk job; you’ll have significant opportunities to be out in the field, actively observing and supporting installations, learning basic troubleshooting for minor operational issues, and interacting directly with local communities. This community engagement aspect is vital, as you’ll help to understand their specific energy needs and effectively communicate the long-term benefits of adopting renewable technologies.

We are specifically looking for someone who is eager to learn, highly organized, detail-oriented, and possesses a strong, demonstrable interest in environmental sustainability and clean energy technologies. While prior extensive experience directly within renewable energy is not a prerequisite, a foundational understanding of basic electrical principles, mechanical aptitude, or a keen interest in sustainable technologies will be highly beneficial and valued. Career.zycto is steadfastly committed to nurturing new talent, providing a robust training framework, ongoing mentorship, and clear pathways to help you develop a solid and rewarding career in this critical industry. If you’re passionate about making a tangible difference, contributing to a cleaner environment, and building a skill set that is increasingly in high demand globally, we strongly encourage you to apply. This role offers a unique chance to be at the forefront of Kenya’s vital transition to a sustainable energy future, directly impacting lives and communities through innovative green solutions.
