Key Responsibilities
- Receive, label, and process patient samples (blood, urine, tissue, etc.) accurately and efficiently.
- Prepare laboratory reagents, solutions, and media following established standard operating procedures.
- Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and minor troubleshooting of laboratory equipment.
- Assist senior technologists and scientists with complex experiments, analyses, and research projects.
- Meticulously record and document all laboratory data, results, and observations.
- Strictly adhere to laboratory safety protocols, quality control guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage inventory of lab supplies, chemicals, and reagents, initiating reorders as necessary.
- Ensure the laboratory environment remains clean, organized, and compliant with health and safety standards.
Required Skills
- Diploma or Certificate in Medical Laboratory Technology, Applied Sciences, or a closely related field.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of proven experience in a clinical or research laboratory setting.
- Proficiency in basic laboratory techniques, including sample handling, processing, and preparation.
- Strong understanding of laboratory safety regulations and quality control procedures.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in performing tasks and recording data.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as a collaborative team member.
- Basic computer literacy for data entry, record keeping, and communication.
Preferred Qualifications
