Job Description

Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet and seat guests, presenting menus and explaining daily specials with enthusiasm.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders, offering recommendations and answering questions knowledgeably.
- Serve food and beverages promptly and professionally, adhering to all service standards and procedures.
- Anticipate guest needs, checking on table satisfaction, and promptly addressing any concerns.
- Process payments accurately using POS systems and handle cash/card transactions.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of dining areas, including table setup, side stations, and cutlery.
- Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff and other front-of-house team members to ensure smooth service flow.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations, including responsible alcohol service.
- Assist with opening and closing duties, ensuring the restaurant is prepared for service or properly secured.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Server in a busy restaurant or hospitality setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly demeanour.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage multiple tables simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high service standards.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
- A team player attitude with a proactive approach to guest satisfaction.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant qualifications in hospitality or food service.
- Knowledge of wine pairings and cocktail preparation.
- Experience with point-of-sale (POS) systems.
