Key Responsibilities
- Operate counterbalance and/or reach forklifts safely and efficiently to move, stack, and retrieve products.
- Load and unload lorries and containers, ensuring goods are handled with care to prevent damage.
- Perform daily pre-shift inspections on forklifts and report any defects or maintenance issues promptly.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe warehouse environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Accurately pick and pack orders according to company standards and customer requirements.
- Assist with inventory management, including stock rotation, counting, and reconciliation.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow and operational efficiency.
- Complete all necessary paperwork and documentation accurately and on time.
- Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Required Skills
- Valid and in-date Forklift Operating License (Counterbalance and/or Reach Truck).
- Minimum of 2 years of proven experience as a Forklift Operator in a warehouse or logistics setting.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and practices.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Excellent spatial awareness and attention to detail.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills for documentation and inventory checks.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with other material handling equipment (e.g., VNA, PPT).
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS).
- First Aid certification.
